This website is our personal space, formed through an ongoing relationship with creative work across writing, video, music, reading, and reflection. It holds pieces that have emerged over time, not as finished statements, but as part of a continuing practice of noticing, questioning, and making sense of things.
What we create here moves across forms rather than staying neatly in one. It is guided by curiosity and perspective: stepping back to see the whole shape of an idea, and moving closer when something asks for attention. Some pieces are exploratory, some more settled; many are notes toward something else. What connects them is a willingness to follow ideas without needing to resolve them, and an interest in how stories come into being over time.
Our lives are shaped by books, music, films, and history; by time spent in bookshops and record stores, on city streets and at music gigs. These interests filter into what we create quietly, shaping how we look, listen, and respond, not as subjects to master, but as ways of staying attentive.
Our backgrounds move through journalism, editing, writing, and historical research, and our curiosity ranges across mythology, philosophy, psychology, modern technologies, and the stories we tell about the past. Sport, cinema, and music sit alongside this work, part of the texture of daily life rather than a separate pursuit.
Alongside these personal explorations, we also run Ink-Stained Hearts, an editorial studio for all writers, budding, independent, and published, focused on clarity, care, and craft.
